10:00 Toddler Class

Good morning friends! Today is a new week of fun lessons about dinosaurs! We will be learning some fun dinosaurs names, stories, and activities. Ms. Annie started with introducing us to the dinosaur museum. The Natural History Museum has many exhibitions and one of them is the Dinosaur Hall. Here you will find some dinosaur fossils and other artifacts. Click here to see a virtual tour.

Next, Ms. Annie introduced the children to the different dinosaurs, such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurs, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, and Parasaurolophus. She talked about which dinosaurs are meat eaters and plants eaters. She showed how meat eaters have sharp teeth, strong jaws, small arms, and strong legs. Plant eater have flat teeth, long necks, or small and filled with bony plates or horns for armor.

Finally, Ms. Annie made a dinosaur stick puppet craft. Have fun singing the dinosaur song and playing with your dinosaur stick puppets!

10:30 Primary

Ms. Jen was happy to see everyone today! She had some fun activities to do today. First, she showed us the materials in our Zoom pack and asked to us organize the materials by placing them a small box. We have glue, crayons, and glue stick, and a fun outdoor activity. Make sure to bring your Zoom box during class time.

Ms. Jen talked about when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. That time is called the Mesozoic Era or the Age of Dinosaurs. Click here to learn more about this time period. Then, Ms. Jen talked about the different dinosaurs that roamed the earth, including her favorite, the stegosaurus.  It has big, diamond-shaped plates on its back and long spikes on its tail to protect it from predators. In your packet, look for envelope that says TUE, WEEK 1. Open it, and you will find a coloring page. Color the dinosaurs and cut them out. You can glue the dinosaurs with the q-tips and place the dinosaurs in a planter box, a potted plant around your house. Ms. Jen placed them on her little potted plant at home. You can make up little stories about them.

Ms. Jen read a book to our friends and to end the class, she taught our friends the song, We are the Dinosaurs by Laurie Berkner.  Have fun exploring dinosaurs today. Join us tomorrow for a DINO-Mite craft time with Ms. Cresca!
