Montessori care from 18 months through 5th grade · 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Looking for daycare in Huntington Beach? At Montessori Child Development Center (MCDC), children spend their day in a real Montessori classroom, not just supervised care. Our doors open at 7 a.m. and the last pickup is 5 p.m. Daycare hours are 7 – 9 a.m. and 3 – 5 p.m., with the academic day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in between.
We’ve cared for Huntington Beach families since 1982. MCDC is accredited by the International Association of Progressive Montessori (IAPM) and is managed by the Senanayake family, longtime Huntington Beach residents. Our youngest program, the Toddler program, starts at 18 months.

Toddler care, 18 months – 3 years
Our Toddler Program provides a warm, peaceful, and home-like environment where young children feel secure as they take their first steps toward independence. Class sizes are intentionally small, so teachers can respond thoughtfully to each child’s needs.
Diapers are changed throughout the day as needed, toddlers nap from 12 to 2:30 p.m., and we support potty training when your child shows readiness.
