PRACTICAL LIFE

Coordination of Movement and Large Muscle Exercises:
Jumping, climbing, dancing, running, walking, carrying exercises, and more.

Hand-Eye Coordination and Small Muscle Exercises:
Bead stringing, pegboards, puzzles, gluing, folding, pouring, transferring, spooning, and grasping activities.

Care of Self:
Dressing frames, hand washing, combing hair, wiping face.

Care of Environment and Grace & Courtesy:
Sweeping, wiping tables, setting tables.

Grace & Courtesy:
Practicing table manners and using polite words such as “please,” “thank you,” and other kind expressions.

SENSORIAL

Each month, children explore a specific color through sensorial activities designed to refine their senses. Art projects, sorting, and matching exercises focus on the chosen color, while children also investigate related sensory qualities such as weight, texture, sound, dimension, and taste to deepen their sensory awareness and discrimination.

LANGUAGE

Building Vocabulary:
Classified vocabulary to expand children’s word knowledge.

Calendar:
Days of the week and months of the year to build temporal awareness.

Story Books:
Monthly book selections featuring mostly Caldecott Award winners for reading and discussion.

Music and Finger Plays:
Songs, finger plays, and felt stories to develop language skills and listening.

MATH

Counting Games:
Engaging activities that build number sense through play.

Calendar:
Incorporating dates to reinforce counting and sequencing skills.

Number Recognition:
Helping children identify numbers visually.

Associating Quantity to Symbol:
Linking numerical symbols with corresponding quantities to build foundational math understanding.

CULTURAL

Artist of the Month:
A brief introduction to master artists, exposing children to their famous masterpieces.

Composer of the Month:
An introduction to renowned composers, allowing children to experience and appreciate their music.

GEOGRAPHY 

A brief introduction to our solar system, planets, and continents. Children learn through stories, songs, pictures, games, and artwork.

BOTANY AND ZOOLOGY

Children explore plants and animals through hands-on gardening and caring for classroom pets.

ENRICHMENT

Spanish, Sign Language, Art, Music, and Movement are incorporated to enrich children’s learning experience and creativity.
